Chef Tony & Chef Rob
Chef Tony Johnson has always loved the culinary arts, a talent he inherited from working under great chefs. While Chef Tony initially from Flint, MI, moved to St. Louis, MO, in 2003. He started his career in the healthcare industry where Chef Ron Medley gave him an opportunity to grow his talent. Chef Tony quickly decided that he had to pursue what he was naturally gifted at. So armed with determination and passion, he went on work for a number of Chefs including Chef Ricky Poff who was a Chef for the Bush administration at the White House in his early career. In 2013 he opened Unique Cuisine Catering with business partner Chef Robert. After years of experience, in 2015 he enrolled in Fontbonne University to further his culinary skills. He credits Chef Ron for the guidance he provided that had everything to do with making him the success he is today.
A native of Memphis, Chef Robert Sullivan grew up in a household with nine brothers and sisters. His love for cooking began with helping his mother and grandmother prepare meals in the family kitchen. Chef Robert credits his involvement with Air Force ROTC program as helping to build his personal foundation as a Leader. At the young age of 17, Robert won the prestigious Leader of the Year award and was featured as a teen leader among his peers.
Shortly after high school Robert earned the opportunity to work for Catering St. Louis at the Boathouse located in Forest Park where he sat under the leadership and tutelage of Executive Chef Mark Cook. Robert grew a passion and love for food and for the connection it gave him with his customers. Chef Robert later transitioned his career sights on the Healthcare industry. Robert believes the passion and the care in food should speak for itself.
